Corn Cob Blasting is a process, similar to sand blasting, that is used to remove coating type finishes or when it is necessary to use a dry process so that water is not allowed to saturate into the home. Some coating finishes, such as a varnish type, are too hard of a coating to remove with powerwashing. When a finish breaks down and begins to peel or flake off the wood [see pictures below] it is necessary to remove the coating to cure the problem. Cob blasting is an excellant choice for these type of situations.
